A Country-Inspired Senior Session for a Proud Elk Grove Baseball Player

There’s something timeless about photographing seniors out at West 12 Ranch. The mix of vintage trucks, golden fields, and open sky always sets the perfect tone—especially for guys like Ryan Lindner. A 2025 senior from Elk Grove High School, Ryan is an easygoing, down-to-earth guy who brought a calm confidence to every part of his session. He’s a pitcher for the Elk Grove High School Thundering Herd and active in FFA, with plans to head to trade school after graduation to become an electrician.

We kept things relaxed and real during his session—starting in the open grass near an old wooden fence, then moving through shady tree-lined paths, open dirt roads, and a few classic farm trucks. That rustic charm fits Ryan's personality and interests so well.

Showcasing Personality with Simple, Laid-Back Style

Ryan wore a basic brown tee with light denim jeans and white sneakers—a clean, classic look that worked beautifully with the farm setting. His neutral tones popped just enough against the greens of the grass and trees, and the soft golden light filtering through the orchard gave everything that warm summer glow. He was a natural in front of the camera, never overthinking things, just being himself.

One of my favorite parts of the session was watching Ryan relax as we explored different parts of the ranch—from rustic wooden fences to vintage red and silver trucks, and even some hay bales in a classic barn setting. These backdrops gave us such variety while keeping the look cohesive and true to Ryan’s vibe.

Bringing in the Baseball Uniform

Of course, we couldn’t leave out a big part of Ryan’s high school journey—baseball! He changed into his Elk Grove High School uniform, cap and all, and we captured a set of strong, confident images to represent his years on the mound. The setting gave his uniform shots a clean, natural look without feeling overly posed or stiff. You could just see the pride and quiet determination in his stance.

I always love when senior sessions reflect not just who a student is now, but also hint at who they’re becoming. For Ryan, that means celebrating both his present passions and future path.
