Kira Melia Tsuda-Nguyen Senior Photos at Jack Hill Park
Kira’s senior session at Jack Hill Park was everything she envisioned—dreamy, warm, and effortless. We spent the evening walking through some of my favorite spots in the park, chasing that soft golden hour light that brings everything together so beautifully.
I also had the chance to photograph her sister’s senior session back in 2024, so it was really special getting to work with their family again for another milestone.
Kira is heading to Biola University to study psychology, with plans to become a child psychologist—such an exciting path ahead for her.
Tall Grass, Bridge & Golden Hour Light
We started Kira’s session in one of my favorite areas of Jack Hill Park, where the tall grass and bridge come together for that soft, natural look—especially as golden hour starts to set in.
She wore light blue jeans with a brown floral tank, which fit perfectly with the setting. We moved between the tall grass, the bridge, and nearby walking paths, keeping everything relaxed and easy.
Kira also brought her Bible, which is something very important to her, and we took a few quiet, meaningful photos of her reading in the grass. It added such a personal touch to this part of the session.
Her dog Rocco joined in for a few photos as well, which always makes things a little more fun and adds even more personality to the session.
Soft Greens, Flowers & Creekside Moments
For the next part of the session, we moved into more open areas of the park, including the shaded trees, grassy fields, and down by the creek.
Kira changed into a light blue jean skirt with a soft pink floral tank, which gave this section a lighter, more delicate feel. She brought along flowers and her Bible again, and we captured a few more quiet moments of her reading, which tied in beautifully with the peaceful setting.
Down by the stream, she also brought out a Biola pennant to represent where she’ll be heading next. It was a simple detail, but such a meaningful one, especially paired with the natural backdrop and warm evening light.
This part of the session really leaned into that dreamy, effortless feel she had envisioned.
Golden Light, Open Fields & a Dress to Finish
We wrapped up the session with Kira in her burgundy floral dress, which photographed beautifully in the warm golden light.
For this last part, we kept things simple and let the light do the work—using open field areas, trees, and a spot with the pond in the background. Everything came together here with that soft glow that you only get right at the end of the day.
It was the perfect way to finish her session—elevated, but still relaxed and natural
Congratulations Kira
Kira’s session was such a great mix of personal details, natural movement, and beautiful light. From including Rocky, to meaningful touches like her Bible, flowers, and her next step toward Biola University, everything came together in a way that felt true to her.
It’s always an honor to capture these moments, especially for families I’ve worked with before. I’m so excited for everything ahead of her as she heads off to Biola University.
