Audrey’s Fall Senior Photos at the Sacramento Capitol Building

senior girl class of 2024 photo collage

Well, it finally happened.  I arrived at a senior session only to discover that the location we had chosen was almost completely blocked off for a major renovation.  When we arrived at the State Capitol building in downtown Sacramento and saw the construction my heart sank.  I immediately called my senior’s mom, and they were so understanding. So, we called an audible, met up with them, and walked around all of the streets around the capitol.  This turned out to be a blessing in disguise.  Audrey was so easy-going and had such a beautiful, natural presence about her.  She wanted an urban vibe and I think by not just using the capitol building allowed us to give her exactly what she wanted.

We discovered so many hidden spots, including a really cool geometric artwork she took photos in front of, as well as a window that contained a cool wooden slatted wall.  We eventually did end up on the only side of the Capitol building that was open to the public.  This was a perfect ending to the session and was the exact background for the cap and gown images.

I loved Audrey’s natural beauty.  She didn’t wear a lot of makeup and kept it simple.  Her long hair had such amazing curls that framed her face beautifully.  It was fun getting to know Audrey and her mom.  She did an incredibly hard thing during her senior year and that is to move.  Her family recently moved from Southern California to Northern California.  However, Audrey seems to be taking it in stride.  Audrey will graduate from Cosumnes Oaks High School at the end of May and will go on to a UC.  She isn’t sure where at this time, but knows she wants to study history and eventually go to law school.

I love how Audrey’s images turned out.  Congratulations Audrey, good luck with everything!
