Micah Edward Ferrer Newborn Photos | Elk Grove Newborn Photographer

There are some families that I've had the privilege of photographing for years, and the Ferrer family is one of them. I've photographed Ryan and Alyssa through several milestones, including newborn photos for big brother Noah and family photos. So, when Alyssa reached out after Micah was born, I was so excited to welcome them back into my studio. It means so much when families continue trusting me to document these once-in-a-lifetime moments.

Micah was born on May 28, 2026, weighing 5 pounds, 10 ounces and measuring 19 inches long. Before the session, Alyssa described him as her "earthy baby," so we planned everything around beautiful shades of green, brown, and beige. She also shared that his nursery has a vintage Winnie the Pooh theme, which gave us the perfect inspiration for a few of the setups.

One thing Alyssa mentioned was how important it was to capture plenty of photos with big brother Noah. Watching him cuddle up next to his new baby brother was incredibly sweet, and I'm so glad we were able to preserve those memories for their family.

Earthy Green & Vintage Winnie the Pooh Newborn Photos

Every newborn session is a little different, and I always enjoy taking each family's ideas and creating something that's unique to them.

For Micah's session, we focused on rich greens, warm browns, soft beige tones, and plenty of natural textures. The colors suited him so well and created exactly the earthy look Alyssa had envisioned.

Since Micah's nursery is decorated with vintage Winnie the Pooh, Alyssa wanted to incorporate the classic Winnie the Pooh theme into the session. I paired it with a few of my own Winnie the Pooh pieces to create a couple of simple setups that complemented the rest of the session without feeling overly themed.

Another request from Mom was to capture Micah's tiny feet. Those little details change so quickly, and I always love including close-up images that parents will enjoy looking back on as their baby grows.

And then there was Noah.

He was so gentle with his baby brother and did such a wonderful job during the sibling portraits. Those images always end up being some of my favorites because they're the beginning of a brand-new relationship.

One of the best parts of being a photographer is getting to watch families grow over the years. From photographing Noah as a newborn to now meeting little Micah, it's been so much fun seeing another chapter unfold for the Ferrer family.

Ryan and Alyssa, thank you for trusting me once again to capture these memories. It was wonderful seeing all of you again, meeting sweet little Micah, and watching Noah settle into his new role as big brother. I can't wait to see these boys continue to grow together.
