A Growing Family Surrounded by Nature's Beauty
I’ve had the joy of photographing Tiffany, Stephen, and their daughter Melanie for the past few years—and this session was such a sweet milestone in their story. With baby brother on the way this June, we met up at the always-gorgeous Cosumnes River Preserve in Elk Grove, California for their maternity portraits.
Tiffany had a beautiful vision for this shoot—something simple and nature-filled, with wildflowers, soft greens, and that warm golden spring light. She wore a flowy white sundress with delicate blue flowers and paired it with sandals, keeping the whole look light and airy, perfect for the outdoor setting.
Sweet Details and Special Touches
We added a few meaningful props into their session that really helped tell their story. Melanie proudly held a book titled “I’m a Big Sister” and beamed while hugging Tiffany’s belly. We also included a soft blue onesie that read “Baby Bro”, and an ultrasound photo—sweet, simple reminders of the little one they’re preparing to meet.
One of Tiffany’s special requests was a photo of Melanie kissing her tummy, and I’m so glad we made that happen. It was such a tender, heartfelt moment between mom and daughter that I know they’ll cherish forever.
From Three to Four
As the sun dipped lower behind the trees, we captured so many joyful, loving moments of the three of them together. There were hugs, snuggles, giggles—and a few twirls from Melanie! This session wasn’t just about maternity photos—it was about celebrating this season of waiting and growth as a family.
With baby brother arriving mid-June, these photos will always be a reminder of the love and excitement that surrounded his arrival. I’m so grateful to have been part of this chapter with them again.
